Make sure to make backups!! Like I said, it pretty much regenerated the entire world around my 16x16 area with new update aquatic generation including underwater ravines, icebergs and shipwrecks (same terrain generation though), but there were very rare areas of untouched gravel ocean with visible borders which might just be a side effect of my buggy 2013 world. These sidemods can be used in both singleplayer and multiplayer.
Don't click on the program while it's loading cos it can crash, or Windows thinks it has. Same deal for when you save it when you're done. Be patient and get a cup of tea or something and it'll get there eventually. One more thing, if you have a large world, it'll take a while for MCC Toolchest to load your world once you open it in the program. (the delete button only works for chunks not r's) It can take a long time to delete all those r's or chunks, so a technique I used that sped it up was to tap the right click menu button on my keyboard (if you have one!), then the down button, then the enter button twice, all in quick succession repeatedly to delete them more efficiently. They'll just regenerate when you load up the world. Your daily source for all things TV, movies, and games, including Star Wars, Fallout, Marvel, DC and more. You can also individually delete chunks and keep others in those expandable area things. The entertainment site where fans come first. If you want to cull big areas of land then just delete them from the main bit.
so the overworld tab will list these areas and then you expand them to see what chunks are inside. MCC Toolchest groups lots of chunks into big areas called r-1 -3 or r 23 -17 etc. I couldn't get the map part of it to work, but if you use MCPE Viz you can create a detailed map with chunk details etc to compare to the chunks you want to delete. (Or don't delete the chunks you want to keep basically, I deleted all of mine except 0,0 to 15,15). I'm still hoping to cut and paste the 16x16 "old world" chunks into a nice fresh and different world, but I can't find a way yet.Īnyway, make a copy of the world and use the PE version of MCC Toolchest, and go to the Overworld tab and delete the chunks you want to update. I only did it as a test, I'm gonna at least wait until the main update is released out of beta to try it for my world properly. That being said, my world is from 2013 and quite buggy so yours might be alright and it's still worth testing it. (If you're using console version I'm not sure if this'll work but you can try with the console version of MCC Toolchest!)Īnd it definitely updated the vast majority of the area to the aquatic features, however there were very rare but large patches of ocean that stayed the same so it might not be consistent. Hello! Good timing, I used MCC Toolchest PE just yesterday to delete all the chunks around my ancient PE world I now play on W10 leaving just the original 16x16 chunk square from the good old days.
